Inside our practice

Technology chosen for the difference it makes to your care.

We invest in technology when it helps us see better, communicate more clearly, plan more carefully or make treatment more comfortable.

Straumann SIRIOS X3 wireless intraoral scanner
Digital impressions

Your smile, captured in 3D.

Straumann SIRIOS™ X3 Intraoral Scanner

A compact digital scanner creates a detailed 3D model of your teeth and bite. It helps us visualize your mouth on-screen and supports precise planning for selected restorative, implant and orthodontic treatments.

Detailed 3D view Chairside visualization Digital treatment planning

Instead of trying to imagine what your dentist is describing, you can often see a digital model of your teeth on-screen. For many workflows, digital scanning can also reduce the need for traditional impression material.

DEXIS IXS digital dental X-ray sensors
Digital diagnostics

Clear images. Better-informed decisions.

DEXIS™ IXS Digital Sensor

Digital X-ray sensors let us view detailed images immediately, helping us examine areas that are not visible during a regular visual exam and review findings with you right at the chair.

Immediate images Detailed diagnostic view Easy chairside review

DEXIS describes the IXS system as producing diagnostic-quality digital images with improved contrast, reduced noise and exposure flexibility. For you, the practical advantage is immediate, enlargable imagery that can be reviewed chairside.

VELscope Vx fluorescence oral screening device
Enhanced oral screening

Some changes deserve a closer look.

VELscope® Vx Fluorescence Visualization

VELscope uses blue light and natural tissue fluorescence to help the dental team visualize oral mucosal tissue patterns that may warrant closer evaluation during a comprehensive oral exam.

Non-invasive Dye-free Quick enhanced screening

VELscope is an adjunct to the conventional oral and head-and-neck examination. It helps clinicians visualize tissue fluorescence patterns; it does not independently diagnose oral cancer.

Soft-tissue dentistry

SOL® Diode Laser

A precise tool for selected gum and oral soft-tissue procedures.

Precision where it matters.

For selected soft-tissue procedures, the SOL diode laser gives the dentist a precise way to work with gum and other oral soft tissues while maintaining careful control of the treatment area.

Cavitron Prophy-Jet air polishing system
Professional cleaning

Cavitron® Prophy-Jet®

Air polishing helps remove external stains and polish the tooth surface efficiently.

A cleaner, efficient polishing step.

Air polishing uses a controlled stream of air, water and polishing powder to help remove external stains and polish enamel as part of a professional cleaning.

DARYOU DY-50 intraoral dental camera
Chairside communication

DARYOU Intraoral Camera

A small camera lets us photograph areas inside your mouth and review them with you on-screen.

You can see what we see.

Close-up intraoral photography makes dental conversations easier. We can visually document an area and use the image to explain what we are monitoring or treating.

One connected experience

Technology throughout your visit.

The devices are different, but the goal is the same: better information, clearer communication and thoughtful care.

01 · SEE

Capture the details

Digital X-rays, intraoral photography and enhanced oral screening give us multiple ways to evaluate your oral health.

02 · UNDERSTAND

Make it visual

Instead of asking you to imagine what we mean, we can often show you images or scans directly.

03 · PLAN

Use better information

Digital scans give us detailed information for planning selected restorative, implant and orthodontic treatments.

04 · TREAT

Choose the right tool

Laser and air-polishing technology give us additional options when they are appropriate for your care.

Advanced technology should make dentistry feel simpler.

The value is not in the equipment itself. It is in what the technology helps us do for you: see more, explain more and plan with better information.

Questions patients ask

Modern tools, explained simply.

No technical jargon required.

Does digital scanning replace dental impressions?

For many digital workflows, an intraoral scanner can be used to capture a 3D model of the teeth instead of a conventional impression. The appropriate method depends on the treatment and clinical situation.

Does VELscope diagnose oral cancer?

No. VELscope is an adjunctive visualization tool used with a comprehensive oral examination. It helps clinicians visualize tissue fluorescence patterns and identify areas that may warrant further evaluation.

What is an intraoral camera used for?

It captures close-up images inside the mouth. These images can help document findings and make it easier for you to understand what the dental team is seeing.

Is the SOL laser used on teeth?

The SOL diode laser is intended for selected oral soft-tissue procedures, not hard-tissue procedures such as cutting tooth structure.

Why use air polishing?

Air polishing uses a controlled air-water-powder stream to remove external stains and polish enamel. It is one of the tools a hygienist may use depending on your needs.
